This is not dependant on a specific religion, sexual orientation, nationality, faith, or color.

What is the closest airport?

The closest airport to Bear Trap Ranch is Colorado Springs International Airport. But you can also fly into Denver International Airport, which tends to have lower airfares. You will need to rent a car to make the trip to Colorado Springs if you choose this option.

How do I get from the airport to Bear Trap?

You may choose to rent a car and drive to the Ranch. We will provide detailed directions as the trip draws near. If you are interested in car-pooling with other guys, you will want to gain access to our special Road Trip Carpool Facebook Group and connect with others arriving on your Check-In day.

What will the weather be like?

Autumn in the mountains of Colorado produces mild temperatures during the day and chilly temperatures in the evenings and early mornings. We recommend packing long pants and long-sleeved t-shirts or sweaters.

What's the elevation at Bear Trap?

You will be at 9100 feet above sea level during your stay at Bear Trap Ranch. The elevation will be even higher if you hike the surrounding mountains. We recommend drinking lots of water in the 2 weeks prior to arriving for Road Trip. We also recommend doing some minor excercise in the 2 weeks prior, such as walking (hills if possible) before you arrive. This will help you adjust to the elevation quicker. Also- pack a re-fillable water bottle in your luggage. There will be spickets for water refills at the ranch.

Speaking of packing, do you have a suggested "What To Bring" list?

Great question! We recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing for 4 full days, underwear, a hat or knit cap, sturdy shoes for hiking, a flashlight, your Bible and a notebook, and personal items (deodorant, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush). Bedding is provided by Bear Trap Ranch. **We also recommend bringing padding or memory foam for the bunks if you can fit it in your suitcase. (Note- once you register, we send you a full what to bring and what to know list)

Is there a way for my family to contact me while I'm at the Ranch?

Cell phone service is unavailable at the Ranch but available outside of the ranch and up on the mountain side. However, your family can call Bear Trap Ranch directly at (719) 632-0740 if they need to get ahold of you. There is also a guest phone in the dining hall you can use as much as needed to contact home if need be. WiFi and internet connection is not available at the Ranch.
